Privacy policy

We collect the minimum needed to run your account, we never sell your data, and we never see your Betfair password or your payment card details.

What we collect

Account data: your email address and a securely hashed password when you create an account. Subscription data: your plan and billing status. If you cancel, we store the reason and any comment you choose to give so we can improve the Service. Card payments are processed by Stripe; your card number never touches our servers. Product settings: preferences you save in the app, such as odds format, simulator weights, your saved brackets and alert settings. Usage basics: standard server logs (IP, user agent, pages requested) kept for security and debugging, plus page analytics from Vercel Web Analytics and Google Analytics, both set up to run without cookies.

What we never collect

We never see or store your Betfair password - any Betfair connection uses Betfair’s own secure login. We never hold your funds and we have no access to move money on any account of yours. We do not buy, sell or trade personal data, and we don’t run third-party advertising trackers.

How we use your data

To provide the Service (log you in, remember your plan and settings), to bill your subscription through Stripe, to send transactional email such as verification and password resets through our email provider (Resend), and to keep the Service secure. Our emails record when they are opened and which links are clicked, so we can tell whether they are useful. Legal bases under UK GDPR: performance of contract and legitimate interests in running and protecting the Service.

Who else handles your data

We use a small number of suppliers to run the Service: DigitalOcean for our servers and our database, Vercel for the site and its analytics, Stripe for payments, Resend for email and Google Analytics for page statistics. Your account details are stored on our database in London.

Retention and your rights

Account data is kept while your account exists and deleted on request. You have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to complain to the ICO. Email info@theracingbot.com and we’ll handle it promptly.

Cookies

We use first-party cookies only. Most of them exist because you asked for something: staying signed in, remembering a device when you tick “remember me”, showing the right header once you are signed in, and keeping settings you choose such as odds format. Two more are set when you arrive: which site or search you came from, and, if you followed someone’s share link, their referral code, so that a signup can be credited to the right person. Our analytics do not set cookies. We run no advertising cookies and we do not track you across other websites. Clearing cookies in your browser removes all of them and signs you out.

Who controls your data

The data controller for The Racing Bot is Prediction Labs Limited. Registered office: 80 Bayswater Road, Wallasey, CH45 8ND, United Kingdom. Contact: info@theracingbot.com.

If you want to exercise any of the rights above, or you are not happy with how we have handled your data, write to info@theracingbot.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we’ll flag it in the app or by email. Last updated: September 2026.
