A prediction is only as good as the reasoning behind it. The Racing Bot predicts every UK and Irish race by scoring every runner on 15 measurable signals, with eight more you can switch on with Max. Then it shows you the working.
How the predictions are made
The moment declarations drop, the bot reads the day’s cards (today: 48 races across 6 meetings) and scores each horse on the same 15 signals: recent form, trainer form, jockey form, the horse’s record at the course and on the going, the trainer and jockey records at the course, the trainer-jockey combination, market moves, Racing Post picks, named pundit support, official rating, and whether it’s rated top in the race. Points scale with how strongly each signal leans. On Max you can switch on eight more of your own - headgear, freshness, sire form and the rest - which takes it to 23.
The horse with the highest total is the bot’s predicted winner. There is no override, no gut feel and no cherry-picking: the same maths runs on a Monday seller at Wolverhampton as on Gold Cup day. You can read the full breakdown of how the ratings work.
Predictions you can hold to account
Every prediction settles in public. The results page shows how the pick ran in every race - including exactly why a beaten pick lost and what the scoring liked about the horse that beat it. That record stands at 15,750 picks, and 27% winners and 54% placed from 1,021 runs in the last 30 days. Higher scores hit harder: picks rated 450+ have won at around one in three. Past results never guarantee future ones, and we’ll never tell you otherwise.
From prediction to your own system
Predictions are a starting point. The strategy simulator lets you re-run the entire season under your own rules - reweight the signals, filter by race type or price - and see the win rate and place rate your version would have produced. On Max you can then apply that model for real: every racecard, result, email and alert is scored your way, not ours.
